Lantern is a fully open-source, pure-Go PDP light node for Filecoin Onchain Cloud that provides a trustless, low-footprint chain-read path for storage providers and builders without requiring a full Lotus node or reliance on a single hosted RPC. It end-to-end verifies critical consensus and state signals (including block signatures, randomness beacons, finality certificates, and content-addressed actor state) and aims to strengthen Filecoin’s infrastructure diversity by delivering reproducible builds, operator-ready documentation, and transparent benchmarks and field-trial findings to support informed adoption of PDP-based onchain deals.
